What's on my Desk - 2024 Edition

For the last few months I've been building a home work station from scratch. Choosing every part is a challenge. By carefully considering of all the options which I had I went with the below configuration.

Links to all the accessories are mentioned at the end of this post.

Specs:
1. ASRock B450M Steel Legend Motherboard.
2. 64 GB of DDR4 TForce RAM running at 3600 MHz.
3. Nvidia RTX 4060 GPU.
4. Ryzen 7 5700X CPU (8C, 16T).
5. 2 TB NVMe SSD storage (1TB PCIe Gen4 and 1 TB SATA III)

Peripherals:
Primary Monitor: Samsung 27 inch FHD IPS Display, 240 Hz / 1 ms.
Secondary Monitor: MSI 24 inch FHD IPS Display, 144 Hz / 1 ms.
Keyboard: Zebronics Blue Switch Wireless Mechanical 60% RGB Keyboard.
Mouse: Corsair Harpoon Wireless RGB.
Mic: Logitech Yeti with a Fifine Boom Arm.
Speakers: JBL 104 BT Studio Monitors with Mackie Sub Woofer for that extra bass!
Headphones: Logitech G Pro X Wired Headphones
Deck: Elgato Stream Deck for fun.

This is how it went with all the accessories.

The CPU

The heart of the CPU is the ASRock B450M Steel Legend motherboard which is powered by a Ryzen 7 5700X (8 Cores, 16 Threads) for multi tasking and over it is a Deepcool AK400 Air CPU Cooler to keep it running tirelessly on low temps. On the right side, is the TForce RGB DDR4 RAM (16 GB x 4 sticks; a total of 64 GB), running on 3600 MHz clock speeds. I've used the custom sleeve cables because aesthetics>>..

In my free time, I like to play games on it (who doesn't?!) so for that it is powered by a Nvidia RTX Geforce 4060 GPU.

The Fans are RGB! Enough said ;)

Monitors

I'm using 2 monitors for this setups, one being my main monitor and the other one with the less important stuff.

The main monitor is from Samsung. It's a Samsung 27-inch FHD IPS Display with a 240Hz of refresh rate and 1ms response time. There's a little camera from Hikvision up top which I've kept in case I want to video call someone from this beast of a PC.

The second monitor is from MSI. It's a MSI G244F 24 Inch FHD IPS Display with a 144 Hz of refresh rate and 1ms response time.

Audio

Speakers:

The audio of this setup is powered by a pair of JBL 104 BT studio monitors, which are paired with a Mackie 200W subwoofer for that extra base!

Headphones:

The headphones which I use are from Logitech and go as Logitech G Pro X. Yes, these are mostly (all the time) used for gaming 😉

Microphone:

There were so many options out there to choose a microphone from but I finally went with the Logitech Yeti. It's a great microphone and comes with a load of pre-sets with-in the Logitech app.

Keyboard and Mouse

The keyboard which I'm using is Zebronics ZEB-MAX NINJA 61 keys wireless mechanical keyboard. It's a blue switch keyboard.

The mouse which I went with was Corsair Harpoon RGB Wireless mouse. It's good for day to day productivity and with it's very less 1 ms latency it does a very good job while gaming with it as well.
